Are COVID-19 Employer Mandated Vaccine Mandates Legal in Pennsylvania?

Every day more and more employers in Pennsylvania are requiring employees to be vaccinated or risk losing their jobs.  Is this legal.  The short answer is, YES.   Pennsylvania is what is known as an “at will employment” state.  Employees are hired “at will” and may be terminated “at will”.   Provided the employer does not discriminate, the employee  is not protected through conditions of a union contract, or terms and conditions of a private employment contract,  COVID  vaccination mandates are right now protected acts of employers.   Challenges are being filed in State and Federal Courts to the current state of the law.  It will be interesting to see if any Courts side with disgruntled employees and find that the vaccine mandates go too far.  As of right now, the law is squarely on the side of employers.
