As DLP Lawyers Represent More GAS DRILLING ACCIDENT VICTIMS Earthquakes and Compressors Are In The News

DLP Lawyers continue to represent numerous accident victims involved in incidents related to the natural gas drilling industry.  Gas drilling site accidents and gas truck accidents are the most common types of claims the firm is seeing.  Unfortunately, serious injury and death have been common.

As accidents occur, the gas drilling industry continues to expand and improve on its safety features.  Gas drilling officials are working to increase safety awareness and decrease accidents.   Meanwhile other issues continue to arise in the industry which is relatively new to the Northeast.

Today, reports note that the NRC has found that hydraulic fracking does not cause earthquakes.  This is good news since the fracking method of horizontal drilling is the reason natural gas drilling has been so successful in the Marcellus Shale and other shale regions.  This earthquake study is different than the concerns over minor earthquakes that occurred in Ohio recently near deep well fracking waste disposal sites near Youngstown.  Preliminary studies suggested that those earthquakes were indeed caused by the deep well disposal practices and methods.

Elsewhere, compressor stations are popping up along new gas gathering pipelines throughout Pennsylvania.  The compressor stations emit various gases which need to be measured and monitored.  Environmental groups, neighborhood groups and natural gas industry experts continue to study the concerns and work on solutions.
