Pennsylvania collected approximately $225 million in natural gas drilling impact fees this year.  As a benefit of its position as a leader in natural gas fracking wells and sites, Bradford County has been awarded approximately $19 million in impact fee revenues.  About $7 million will be awarded directly to the County.  The remaining approximately $12 million will be spread among the local municipalities hosting natural gas well sites.  Local officials are beginning to meet and discuss various ways in which to invest the impact fee proceeds with an eye toward benefitting local residents.
