The Pittsburgh Post Gazette reports today that the Department of Environmental Protection is in the early stages of redrafting and writing new natural gas and oil drilling regulations in Pennsylvania.  According to the PPG article, the new regulations will be different for traditional oil and gas wells and “new” fracking well sites. Preliminary drafts of the new regulations are circulating through Harrisburg.  Final drafts are not expected until 2016.
