Coronavirus (COVID-19): A Message to our Clients and Friends

As we in Pennsylvania well know, Governor Tom Wolf ordered all “non-essential businesses” -including law firms- to close their office locations during the COVID-19 pandemic. Governor Wolf also ordered all residents of Pennsylvania to stay at home. As a result, many of us were forced to work from home for the first time. The attorneys and staff at DLP remain committed to our clients and we continue to move our cases and claims to secure a fair and just result. Our attorneys and staff are working remotely- reviewing files, collecting and reviewing medical records and reports, conferring with our expert witnesses, preparing legal briefs and memoranda, etc.

We are also available via telephone and through email communications for our existing clients and are also available to meet with new clients via telephone, email and virtual meeting internet-based web platforms. It has been said the “the wheels of justice grind slowly”. While that may be true, the wheels of justice still must move forward. In the past three days, I personally have participated in 4 virtual meetings through the Zoom platform, have also participated in a Social Security hearing via teleconference, and have presented expert medical testimony on a worker’s compensation case. At DLP, we have the attorneys, staff and technology to keep things moving in this “new normal” of a global pandemic. Rest assured that we at DLP will continue to work with you- and for you – during this crisis with the proper protections and considerations for the security and confidentiality of client data, including the need to protect your file materials and computer systems, and to ensure that telephone, email, text message and other conversations and communications remain privileged.
