Reports today note that the Pike County Commissioners are upset with the head of the Delaware National Park and Preserve.  A natural gas pipeline company want s to use an existing one (1) mile right-of-way in the Park to build out a new pipeline to accomodate the increase in natural gas delivery from the Pennsylvania growing Marcellus Shale Gas Region.  The head of the Park has denied access and the pipeline company is looking to take a seven (7) mile detour through virgin forrest land in Pike County.  The Commissioners are asking the National Park Service to reconsider its original decision.
