Dimock Pennsylvania became a lightening rod for the debate over natural gas drilling and “fracking” safety not only in state but throughout the country.  Water well pollution issues, highlighted in the anti drilling movie Gasland, split the community.  Folks with gas leases supported the gas drillers and claimed that the water issues were trumped up or unrelated to gas drilling.   People who had water wells go bad along with sympathetic environmental groups pointed to the dangers of the fracking process.  Over time the water issues took a back seat.  Some people received monetary settlements from the gas companies.  DEP and EPA declared the water wells safe.

Today  Philly.com  has an article updating the situation in Dimock.  Evidently, hard feelings still exist and the local community is still split over the safety of fracking.

The  13  Trial lawyers at  DLP are representing TRUCK AND CAR   accident victims on the INTERSTATES, including  I-81,  I-80,  I-84,  I-78,  I-380, the Pennsylvania Turnpike and RURAL roads throughout NEPA, Central and elsewhere in Pennsylvania Gas Country.
