DLP Represents Natural Gas Drilling Workers Injured On the Job

Date: July 14, 2021

In 2021, Pennsylvania is seeing an increase in natural gas production and prices since the height of the 2020 pandemic. According to naturalgasintelligence.com, in 2020, Pennsylvania was one of the top five states to produce natural gas. As a result, the state of Pennsylvania produced the largest percentage of growth concerning gas output and nationwide production of gas. In April 2021, Pennsylvania also saw the greatest increase in requests for gas drilling permits since 2018. Because of this high increase in natural gas production, employees could be subjected to a variety of risky conditions that could result in slips, falls, explosions and motor vehicle accidents. It is important to remember that the process of gas drilling can lead to severe injuries if proper precautions are not taken.

Being Mindful of Proper Gas Drilling Precautions

In order to protect yourself from experiencing one or more of these serious injuries, Industrial Safety and Hygiene News strongly recommends that gas drilling workers wear protective gear, keep their workspace clean, and be cautious of hazards that would cause an employee to fall or slip. Certainly, gas drilling accidents can occur even if employees are taking proper safety precautions, but these practices are encouraged to lessen the harmful effects of these injuries.
