DLP:Pennsylvania Gas Drilling Rig Accident Lawyers–Gas Companies Escape Taxes and Fees

Date: December 15, 2011
Posted In: DLP Law

Natural gas drilling companies who have flocked to Pennsylvania to harvest gas in the abundant Marcellus Shale Region will not be subject to any type of taxation, severance fees or impact fees in the near future now that the state legislature has recessed for 2011 without the House and Senate reaching a compromise on the natural gas regulation and tax/impact fee bill. The proposed bill has been sent to a compromise committee where it has a good chance of stalling due to upcoming elections in 2012. Meanwhile, gas drilling companies will not be subject to taxes or impact fees in the near future.
