PA Homepage reports that a man plead guilty to “two counts of homicide, two counts of DUI, and one count of aggravated assault” for two different motor vehicle crashes in 2020 according to a statement made by the Wayne County District Attorney. The first accident occurred on 94 Roosevelt Highway, State 6. First responders arrived at the head-on motor vehicle crash late in the evening on April 8, 2020. The PSP collision analysis and reconstructionist report indicated that the suspect, Thomas M. Frisch Jr., drove his blue Chevy Silverado over the middle of the road into opposing traffic. Frisch hit a Nissan Sentra head on killing two young men from Waymart, PA.
Police noticed syringes were present at the accident scene. Furthermore, Frisch possessed a “black vape pen with a liquid THC cartridge”, which is classified as a “schedule I controlled substance.” After the accident, Frisch was taken to a hospital where he posted several nasty messages on Facebook in relation to the crash.
Frisch’s second accident occurred early in the evening on May 22, 2020, on State Route 6 Roosevelt Highway. Police responded to another head-on crash caused by Frisch. On scene. Police said Frisch appeared to be tired with “glossy eyes.” Therefore, they questioned Frisch about his drug use and conducted a sobriety test. Frisch replied that he took the drug Methadone late in the afternoon and failed the sobriety test. Frisch’s bloodwork from the Wayne Memorial Hospital after the accident revealed eight drugs were in his system when the accident occurred. PA Homepage provided a list of these substances which include: “Fentanyl, Norfentanyl, Ketamine, Norketamine, Trazodone, THC, Methadone, EDDP (metabolite of methadone).” Frisch was brought before Judge Edwards in early June of 2022. He is looking at potentially spending up to thirty-three years behind bars and paying a $70,000 fine.
