Judge critical of State Agency for Reviewing Local Gas Drilling Zoning Laws—DLP Represents Drilling and Truck accident Victims in Wellsboro, Montrose and Towanda Areas

Date: October 27, 2012

A Judge yesterday issued an opinion critical of the State of Pennsylvania for reviewing local zoning laws, especially of towns who are parties, under Act 13.  The zoning provisions of the new gas drilling law supported by Governor Corbett were overturned by the Commonwealth Court and is on appeal to the Supreme Court.  The Judge’s opinion was issued calling for the State to halt the reviews.

Elsewhere the State has admitted that it made mistakes in calclating the amount of money some towns receive from the new gas drilling tax.

DLP represents victims of serious gas drilling and gas truck accident cases.
