As reported in today’s Scranton Times, public comment is being sought on a proposed pipline that will transport natural gas from Susquehanna County to upstate New York.  The Federal Energy Regulatory Commision (FERC) will conduct a public hearing on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 from 7pm to 10 pm at Blue Ridge High School. According to the Scranton Times article, the proposed Constitution Pipeline will carry 650,000 dekatherms of natural gas per day. More than 20 miles of the 120 mile pipeline will be in Pennsylvania.

In reviewing conversion tables, 650,000 dekatherms equates to 650 million cubic feet- per day.
