As reported this week natural gas gathering pipeline projects are getting underway throughout Pennsylvania.  In NEPA Williams Pipeline and UGI are starting massive projects in the near future.  Reports today indicate that a public meeting was held yesterday in Lebanon County on a Williams Pipeline project well in the planning stages.  Reports from the meeting indicate that most property owners and residents support the pipeline project.

With all of these plans on the books, pipeline workers are being courted by the various construction companies.  Welders are in high demand.  Pennsylvania trade schools and community colleges are in overdrive teaching courses that cater to pipeline construction trades.  Pennsylvania workers are busy retraining themselves and responding to the growing need for skilled pipeline construction workers.
