Wilkes Barre/Kingston Work Injury Lawyers- Fatal Work Injury Statistics For Pa.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics has reported that fatal work injuries in the State of Pennsylvania totaled 219 for the year 2010. This number had risen by 51 from 2009. Despite this increase, the 2010 count was among the lowest figures in the lasy 20 years. Fatal work-related injuries in the state of Pennsylvania have ranged from a high of 354 in 1994 to a low of 168 in 2009. Nationally, a total of 4,547 fatal work injuries were recorded in 2010, which is about the same number as the final count of 4,551 fatal work injuries in 2009, according to results from the Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries. Final statistics for 2010 are expected to be released in the Spring of 2012.
