Marcellus Shale has become a household term over the past year. The formation is said to hold more than 50 trillion cubic feet of recoverable natural gas, and companies are very interested in finding and extracting those pockets of gas. In your opinion, what does the Marcellus Shale gas find mean to the region? You\’re right to point out that Marcellus Shale has become more of a household term, and as soon as that\’s happened … it\’s probably just as important to talk about the Utica Shale, which is a deeper formation that holds a tremendous amount (of natural gas) and has a footprint that\’s even larger than the 95,000 square miles of the Marcellus.
