Natural gas produced in record producing natural gas wells found in Susquehanna County Pennsylvania may soon be headed overseas. Reports today indicate that plans are underway to construct a $3 billion pipeline project through Pennsylvania and into Maryland. The pipeline will transport natural gas to Maryland ports where it will be exported to Japan and perhaps India. Clearly once this and other pipeline projects are complete production and drilling activity throughout the Marcellus Shale will continue to increase significantly.
