U.S. News & World Report: “Pennsylvania’s Gas- Well Revenue Down as Price, Drilling Drop”- DLP Fights for Victims Suffering from Gas Drilling Injuries

Pennsylvania Gas Drilling
Date: August 19, 2021

An article published by U.S. News & World Report mentioned that in June 2021,  Pennsylvania saw the least amount of yearly fee revenue accumulated from Marcellus Shale gas wells. Low amounts of gas drilling during the pandemic cause prices to plummet ultimately resulting in a downslide in revenue. The article also mentioned that “impact fee revenue” has decreased $54 million dollars ensuing a monetary total of $146 million dollars for the year 2020. Despite this, the cost of natural gas has been lowered in 2020. However, the state of Pennsylvania did not see an increase in new gas drilling wells.
