Wayne Pike News has published car crash data from this past Memorial Day Weekend collected by the Pennsylvania State Police. The data was compiled from Lackawanna, Wayne, Luzerne, Pike, and Susquehanna Counties. PSP said there were a total of forty-six non-alcohol-related car crashes, which led to five injured victims. No fatalities stemmed from the crashes. However, PSP cited “three-hundred and thirty-three drivers for speeding”, “eleven drivers for driving under the influence”, and  “ thirty-five drivers for not wearing their seatbelts”. It is crucial that drivers adhere to the law and take all necessary safety precautions while traveling on the road. Furthermore, drivers should never get behind the wheel under the influence and/or text and drive!
