Work Injury- Wage Loss Benefit Offsets

If you are receiving workers compensation (WC) benefits, and your injury occurred after 6/24/96, your wage loss benefits may be reduced by the following:

•Unemployment Compensation (UC) benefits (offset is on the net amount of UC benefits received);
•Severance benefits (if the severance benefits are paid by employer directly liable for the payment of WC benefits);
•Pension benefits (To the extent the pension was funded by the employer);
•50% of Social Security retirement (“old age”) benefits.
